Hope Beyond: A Day of Healing and Solidarity
This past Sunday, October 6, 2024, Hope Beyond Temple in Ndumberi hosted a special service aimed at supporting those affected by alcohol and substance abuse, along with their families and friends. Beginning at 10:00 AM, the event was a heartfelt gathering where participants shared their stories, strength, and hope.
A Day of Community and Compassion
The day began with a warm welcome from our hosts, where individuals impacted by addiction could find solace and support. We shared a meal together, reinforcing the bonds of solidarity and community. With God, all things are possible, and it was a powerful reminder of the strength we draw from one another during challenging times.
Continuing Support: Medical Camp and Counseling
This coming Wednesday promises to be even bigger! Our medical camp will resume, providing one-on-one counselling and group discussions. These sessions are crucial for participants to receive the support they need as they navigate their journeys toward recovery.

A Heartwarming Story
Among those who attended our previous gathering was a man who had been wandering around Kiambu, unable to remember his home. Our team took immediate action, placing him in a safe environment with a young man from the meeting. We are grateful for Wema’s commitment to take him for medical care at Mathare, showcasing the impact of community support.
Gratitude to Our Supporters
The success of this program is a testament to the collaboration of many dedicated individuals and organizations. A special thank you goes to:
