A young man named Baraka
Baraka was the youngest child in a family of five. He was quiet and humble, but deep down, he often felt as though he didn’t measure up to his siblings, who had all achieved success in their careers, businesses, and education.
One day, Baraka found himself sitting in a field, holding a small seed in his hand. As he stared at it, he thought to himself, “This seed looks so small, but inside it lies the potential to grow into a huge tree, to bear fruit, and even provide shade for others.”
At that moment, Baraka realized something important: “I may not have achieved much now, but within me lies the potential to change my life and the lives of others.”
From that day forward, Baraka decided to change his perspective. He stopped trying to prove his worth by comparing himself to others and focused on nurturing the little he had. He took small steps each day, learning, growing, and facing his challenges head-on. Eventually, he started a small farming business. It wasn’t much at first, but he remained patient, believing in his journey.
A few years later, his business grew, and he became a great support to his family and his community. Baraka realized that it didn’t matter how small he started—what mattered was believing in his journey, nurturing what he had, and having faith that he could grow and achieve his dreams.
“Life is like a seed,” Baraka said one day. “It may seem small and insignificant at first, but when you plant it with care and faith, it will grow and bear fruit.”
My friends, each one of us has the seed of greatness within us. Today, take a small step, plant your seed with determination, and don’t give up, even if the results don’t come immediately. Growth is a journey, and within each of us is a mighty tree waiting to blossom.
Let’s begin this day with the belief that every step we take matters. Have a blessed day.
